2025 IN REVIEW / OCTOBER 2026 SNAPSHOTS
What are all
these rockets for?
Follow the missions, the payloads and the business behind SpaceX’s launch cadence.
WHERE / 2025 LAUNCH ACTIVITY
Three regions. Four launch complexes.
This overview includes every SpaceX liftoff in 2025, across California, Florida and Texas. Select a region or launch complex to filter the flight calendar below.
All launch sites · 170 liftoffs
Counts: the same GCAT 2025 launch ledger used below. Florida has two separate launch complexes, grouped on the map because of their proximity. Markers show approximate regions, not surveyed pad locations. Scope: complexes used in 2025; historical Falcon 1 sites and future pads are not in these counts. 01 / EVERY LIFTOFF
A year, one flight at a time.
Each square is one launch in 2025. Pick a mission type to filter; pick a square to inspect a flight.
Launch records: Jonathan McDowell’s GCAT, checked October 29, 2026. Categories are editorial, based on the principal mission; mixed payloads stay with that mission. Starship tests are counted as liftoffs, not orbital deployments.

02 / THE WHOLE ROCKET LOAD
How much payload
does one flight carry?
Total catalogued payload mass per launch, grouped by mission type. Rocket hardware and propellant are not payload.
Tonnes per launch · 2025
Only flights with masses for every catalogued payload object enter the average; estimates remain included and labelled. Incomplete flights are excluded, never shown as full loads. Categories with fewer than two complete flights show no average. “Complete” means complete within this catalog, not an independently verified payload manifest. Mass definitions ↗
What is inside one of those loads?
Circle area represents mass on one fixed scale. It does not represent physical dimensions, volume or packaging. Labels are catalog values; estimates are marked.
03 / LAUNCHES AND THE BUSINESS THEY BUILD
Customer launches earn fees.
Starlink earns service revenue.
A new satellite batch does not have a publicly disclosed, individually attributable revenue stream. Internal Starlink launches generate no inter-segment launch sales; their costs are capitalized in satellite assets.
2025 · revenue, operating expenses and operating result
USD billions · fiscal year ended December 31, 2025. Space includes launch and spacecraft services; its expenses include $3.004B of R&D, principally Starship development. Connectivity covers Starlink services and hardware. AI/X is excluded. Operating result is not net profit or cash flow. Filed segment statements ↗
What does a customer pay for a launch?
Published contract awards, not current list prices, SpaceX’s internal cost or final outturn spending. Mission-specific services are included, so these are not like-for-like bare rocket prices. We have not verified a current, fully allocated internal cost per Falcon 9 flight.
SpaceX investor relations ↗04 / STARLINK OVER TIME
More launched.
A growing fleet.
Starlinks carried by Falcon 9 each year
Real catalogued spacecraft; simulators excluded. The 2026 bar is partial through September 28, not a full-year forecast. No verified annual 2026 satellite target was found in the sources checked.
Starlinks remaining in orbit
Year-end snapshots for 2023–2025; October 29 for 2026. Includes spacecraft not yet serving users and those being retired.
Annual launch counts: GCAT launch log. Fleet history: Jonathan McDowell’s historical series. Different record sets and cutoffs are labelled; launched totals and fleet size are not interchangeable.
13.6M consumer service lines as of September 30, 2026. This is a subscription measure, not unique people. Quarterly filing ↗
Where does Starlink offer service?
Country and territory labels from Starlink’s public availability file, retrieved October 29, 2026. Satellite visibility overhead does not establish permission, capacity or service at an address.

What changed in 2025?
Starlink’s 2025 report describes 35+ new markets, 4.6M+ new active customers and 270+ Tbps of added constellation capacity. Optimized V2 Mini spacecraft reduced mass, allowing more satellites per launch. These are company-reported figures, with definitions different from the current map or subscriber filing.

Public data. Visible boundaries.
- GCAT launch log + object catalog: 2025 UTC launch dates, distinct launch IDs. 165 Falcon flights and 5 Starship tests. Mission groups are editorial and mutually exclusive. Flight payload averages sum catalog object masses and omit incomplete flights. Starlink counts require a real satellite name, not “Simulator.” Catalog updates can change historical counts.
- SpaceX prospectus, June 5, 2026: reported launch classifications and payload throughput; 2025 Space and Connectivity results are shown here. 122 internal / 43 customer Falcon flights are company classifications, not inferred from every spacecraft’s owner.
- Starlink availability JSON: provider labels, including territory codes and sub-national overrides. No inferred orbital coverage circles. Snapshot is not live.
- Natural Earth: simplified geographic outlines, not an assertion about boundaries.
